April 2009
The main building's structure continues to move forward at pace with the roof steel and timber framework completed and boy are there some wicked angles. Next month the building becomes watertight! We also saw the first of the new windows installed. Internally plastering and internal studwork is going up on the first floor. In-between the floors, sound insulation has been inserted whilst the ceilings are being constructured out of sound and fire plasterboard mounted on resiliant bars. On the ground floor, the old shop windows have been bricked in and new openings created using stock bricks. All external walls will receive the latest heat insulation boards to ensure that this 100 year buildings meets and the latest building standards
